Tough mudder 10km: A team challenge

Published: 05 July 2022

Our scientists applied their problem-solving and teamworking skills to a physical challenge on 3rd July- the tough mudder 10km.

Over the past months, 16 members of the BioAscent team have been training vigorously and regularly prior to undertaking the 20-obstacle course, which included running through an ice bath and electroshock therapy with 10,000 volts of electricity, as well as swimming and multiple climbing obstacles.  This meant completing the course primarily required, not individual fitness and strength, but working together as a team.

BioAscent encourages team events such as this, and regularly plans social opportunities.  In this case, as well as the fun and challenge of the tough mudder 10k, it also allowed team members from across the fast-growing BioAscent team to get to know each other outside of the lab. In this challenge, members of our chemistry, biosciences and compound management team not only had a great (if muddy) time, but also supported each other to ensure that every team member finished the course.

BioAscent is passionate about ensuring we employ the best scientists and that we maintain an integrated and inclusive culture where our team can thrive and develop. Our experienced team of scientists work closely together to provide fully integrated drug discovery services, and to maximise the success of our customer’s projects.
