BioAscent has welcomed experienced business development professional, Christophe Auberger to focus on its continued expansion in North America.

Christophe brings a wealth of experience in interacting with drug discovery scientists, and his combined scientific background and commercial expertise will enable him to develop relationships with US customers seeking BioAscent’s integrated drug discovery and compound management services.

With a background in Chemistry, Christophe started his career in the lab where he spent eight years working mostly in analytical chemistry and R&D drug development. He was then presented with the opportunity to join the business development team at Quotient Bioresearch Ltd, where he was able to support customers with sourcing partners and products. 

He then moved to Crawford Scientific in Scotland where he was a member of the management team and focused on business development for over ten years. Christophe joined BioAscent in 2022.

Christophe comments: “I was looking for a new professional challenge, and BioAscent caught my attention for several reasons. I already knew Sylviane and Angus, both of whom I had met in 2018 through my role at Crawford. This helped a lot through the process as I knew the kind of people BioAscent recruits and had knowledge of the excellent facilities and capabilities the company possesses. 

“During the recruitment process, I also spent two hours with BioAscent’s CEO, Paul Smith. He took time to share the company’s vision and explain the culture. Honesty, trust and professionalism are important to me, and it was clear I share the same values and that BioAscent has a culture that I am aligned to. It is exciting to be part of a growing CRO, and I am looking forward to developing new customers in the US.”
