BioAscent shortlisted as finalists in the Scottish Life Sciences Awards 2020

Published: 26 January 2020

BioAscent has been shortlisted in the Business Leadership and the Rising Stars categories at this year’s Scottish Life Sciences Awards.

The Business Leadership Award recognises a management team that has significantly advanced its business. BioAscent’s management team has transformed the business bringing in chemistry and biology services, which with its compound management can now offer integrated drug discovery services to customers across the globe. This growth has led to the creation of skilled jobs, with ongoing recruitment continuing.

The Rising Stars Award recognises early stage life sciences businesses that demonstrate significant potential to become a successful global company, something BioAscent is now achieving with its focus on the US market.

BioAscent's Chief Commerical Officer, Mike Piper said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted in these two categories in recognition of BioAscent’s success to date. Having attracted funding last year we have assembled a world-class team with a strong reputation, enabling us to move forward with our ambitious growth plans. We now attract global customers that are looking for an expert, advisory CRO with a collaborative approach. Our scientists get involved in early drug discovery projects, enabling them to influence projects, ensuring the right decisions are made to maximise chances of success.

“Scotland has a vibrant life sciences community which we are proud to be a part of. We look forward to joining our colleagues and peers to celebrate Scotland’s life sciences successes.”

The industry awards will celebrate the sector’s outstanding achievements at a dinner. The ceremony dinner has been postponed and will now take place on the 9th September.
