Stuart McElroy, Director of Biosciences at BioAscent, will be attending the 6th NovAliX Conference on Biophysics in Drug Discovery taking place in Cannes on the 20th – 22nd March.
The conference brings together biophysicists and medicinal chemists to focus on how the synergy between these disciplines is key to delivering better drugs on a shorter timeline. The event will cover topics including the complementarity between two major structural techniques, x-ray crystallography and cryo-EM, a rapidly evolving field distinguished by the 2017 Chemistry Nobel Prize.
Stuart will be presenting a poster outlining the work carried out with the European Lead Factory, demonstrating how thermal shift was used on one particular project to deduce that oxalic acid was a potential contaminant of hits identified by high throughput screening.
