BioAscent is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Shipping and Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team.
Founded in 2013, BioAscent is a leading provider of integrated drug discovery services based in state-of-the-art labs at BioCity in Newhouse, Lanarkshire. Our integrated drug discovery services include de novo assay development, compound screening, medicinal and synthetic chemistry, computational chemistry and compound management.
As the Shipping and Logistics Coordinator, you will be collaborating closely with all staff, customers and clients to oversee the operational activities in compliance with importing/exporting regulations.
The key responsibilities pertaining to this role include consulting with customers and clients, providing support with preparing shipments for chemical/biological cold chain shipping. Generate and process customs documentation for worldwide distribution. Arrange collections and track shipments.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure in a challenging environment with excellent attention to detail. You will be required to participate in client meetings to ensure that all aspects of the shipping process have been communicated accordingly.
Knowledge of customs paperwork and associated processes for shipping activities.
Knowledge of procurement and stock control systems.
Knowledge of manual handling.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
Understanding of the HTS code.
Ability to follow processes, procedures and HSE guidelines.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
