We currently have an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Lab Automation Specialist to join our Automation Team in our continued growth and success.
The role
As part of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of laboratory automation systems to support the research activities of our customers. Your role will play a key part in our drive for full process digitalisation, from automation workflow scheduling to database analysis.
Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, implementing and maintaining laboratory automation systems and equipment, collaborating with other team members to design and develop automated laboratory workflows, troubleshooting issues with laboratory automation systems and equipment, developing and implementing SOPs and knowledge based articles, working closely with vendors, and staying current on industry trends and advancements in laboratory automation technology and software.
To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:
A BA or MSc degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or related fields.
Experience working with laboratory automation in a life science setting, such as automated liquid handling systems or dispensers, and ideally robotically integrated multi-device systems.
Knowledge of laboratory operations and workflows, including sample tracking, LIMS and data management (SQL is desirable).
Experience writing scripts to automate tasks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
